Modern Fireplace Design - Center of Design

I started working onsite at Center of Design almost 1 year ago doing actual design work instead of just writing about it. Something that has surprised me is how much I enjoy witnessing fireplace designs come to life. I never gave it much thought as to how much goes into it – naive of me. Each home, each homeowner, each space is so different and requires its own well thought out design.

The owners of this gorgeous fireplace had an already amazing space to work with. A large basement with a pool table, bar, theater, and office space. However, the combination of tile throughout and little natural light gave the clients a need to warm it up. They have a traditional gas fireplace upstairs in the main living, dining, and kitchen area so they wanted to go with something more modern and different.

They wanted to incorporate their bar into the fireplace as a storage system. Moving the bar over allowed0 us to center the fireplace which also gave us room to add another cabinet on the opposing side for specific sound system storage. We were able to match it perfectly to the bar with the cabinets and even a replica of the granite top. We had a gorgeous Organic Stone panel on display in the studio that they agreed would really pop with the sleek design of the Enviro C44. The C44 is a linear gas fireplace that comes with so many options. You can read more about those options here. The really cool aspect of the Enviro C Series fireplaces is the optional Cool Surface System. This allows us to let our creativity run wild and not have to worry about clearance.
